Learn to Fly

George Kinder was interviewed by Rachel Day for her podcast, Learn to Fly, which interviews adults about their childhood memories of learning to fly in the hopes of helping parents teach their children to learn to fly. Rachel is one of the organizers and presenters for the Wisdom conference that occurred earlier this month. She is a member of the recurring Golden Civilization Conversation at Primrose Hill.

In this interview, George shares some childhood experiences where he remembers learning to fly. In fact, George mentions that he feels he was never just learning how to fly, but that he’s always felt like he was born to fly! George invites the listeners into the experience of his early days growing up in a rural setting with his brothers. He remembers experiencing great levels of freedom that he feels was foundational in his quest for freedom that has lasted his whole life. He talks about his high school and college experiences, where he was guided by advice from his father to have a great time at college and not to worry about what he would do afterward. He and Rachel discuss blockages to discovering freedom and George’s commitment to protecting his daily schedule so that he can maintain his personal freedom. Near the end of the interview, George dives into how his work in the financial industry, where he helps financial advisors deliver their clients into freedom, relates to his latest visioning project: A Golden Civilization.

Rachel is the Founder of Flying School, a startup that helps children and adults learn how to fly by sharing tools and techniques to help them and inspire others, and is a Coach & Facilitator at Thinkingstream. You can read more about Flying School here.
